This course is designed to enhance the survivability of firefighters on the fire ground in life-threatening or hazardous conditions in burning buildings. You will learn the skills necessary to self-egress in a trouble situation and to rescue a downed firefighter using the Rapid Intervention Team concept.  This has been by far our most popular class taught throughout Washington & Idaho.  

Prerequisite:See appendix “A” on Flyer for requirements.  Proof of Worker’s Comp coverage

Required Equipment: Full protective equipment (PPE), SCBA, a spare SCBA bottle, and a hose rope/ tool/strap/or webbing.

The North Idaho Fire Chief’s Association understands that there are circumstances that are beyond our control and at times plans must be changed because of medical issues and or personal family matters.  If for some reason you cannot attend the course that you have registered for, you shall submit in written form the reason that you will not be able to attend the course, have your department chief or training officer sign the letter and submit this to the North Idaho Chiefs Association ASAP. The North Idaho Chief’s Association shall review each letter and make the determination to refund the registration fee or not.
